A billboard displaying the X President was recently placed on the I-35 near Wyoming, Minnesota.

As if the Anti-Obama sentiment was not enough in this part of the country, the billboard displaying X President Bush asking the question “Miss Me Yet?”, has been thought as a hoax…..but it’s not.

As if sending America to war for reasons proved false, plunging the world’s economy into the toilet, and redefining anti-american sentiment across the world wasn’t enough to to be dis-liked, the author of this billboard might be severely dis-allusioned or just very republican.

To insinuate that Bush would be missed, when he can easily be targeted for causing the current debacle of our financial/war situation, leaves me asking the question….”What the Hell is going on?”

The Obama administration is trying it’s absolute best to salvage and regain America’s postion in the world, prior to the Bush Administration’s policies of complete and utter world domination based on lies and deception, but apparently that is not enough for some rednecks in the Midwest who think that Bush would be doing a better job than President Obama.

As the unemployment rate drops from 12 to 9 percent across the country and glimmers of hope attempt to shine amongst dark times, American Conservatives still seem to have their thumbs up their…well, we won’t go there.

Go figure.

Everybody wants a piece of Italian culture these days it seems. Pizza, espresso, the Mafia, Al Pacino, Gellato, Ferrari’s, etc. and now McDonald’s Italian Burgers.

The new “Italian Burger” recently launched by McDonald’s has fans and critics. On one hand, critics say that the burger is selling out the Italian culture and making it a cheap fast food, opposing traditional Italian food, while on the other hand, supporters view it as a way to “globalize the identity of Italian agriculture”,  as one source put it.

Whatever the reasoning, the burger has been on the menu in Italian McDonald’s restaurants for some time now, and sales have exceeded expectations by nearly 100,000 sales.

In other words, if it sells, who cares what the loser thinks…..

As Super Bowl XLIV(44) comes to an end in a 31 to 17 victory for the New Orléans Saints, many are wondering why Peyton Manning did not congratulate Drew Breeze, or any of the Saints for that matter, for the victory.

Usually, after a victory of this nature, the opponent congratulates the victor in every sport, for his/her performance; however, in this case, Manning, the quarterback  of Colts, stormed off the field with a chilling coldness, leaving many to question his sportsmanship and respect for the Saints.

In actuality, Peyton called Breeze(Saints Quarterback), after the game and congratulated him personally, without t.v. cameras.

Perhaps not showing affection on camera is something that the media, does not like. Either way, Breeze told the press that Manning is “a class guy”, for calling him and that should be enough for people.

As if the situation in Africa could get any worse….it just did.

According to sources, PEPFAR, an aids organization established by the Bush Administration, has of late been rejecting new patients infected with HIV.

This comes as a shock to many in Africa who had been promised Aids relief in the past, and are now being denied of it for economic reasons.

With an infection rate of 6.4% and a nation in a nation of 31 million,  the  unsteady economic climate of both the U.S. and Uganda equals the turning away of new HIV cases, but the continuation of drugs being administered to existing patients.

Ever since the Aids epidemic broke out in the late 70′s, early 80′s, Africa has been shattered by death, economic upheaval, and a loss of hope that seemed to be slowly showing signs of progress within the help of PEPFAR.

Now that efforts for new patients are being aborted from the start, one can help but fathom the the worsening of Africa as no treatment is being averted.

Economic bias or just a sign of the hard economic times of both continents….you be the judge.

From being accused of anti-patriotism to accusations of bribery and corruption, John Murtha never faltered for his state or his country.

Murtha, a 77 year old democratic congressman and ex Vietnam war vet of the marines, died on monday in a Virginia hospital, surrounded by his family and loved ones, leaving many asking “Who will be the next soldier of integrity to follow in his footsteps?”

In response to the war in Iraq, Murtha stated that “Our military’s done everything that has been asked of them,” Murtha said then. “The U.S. cannot accomplish anything further in Iraq militarily,” he said. “It’s time to bring the troops home.”

This statement was condemned by the Bush administration at the time as being non-sequitor to blindly perceived patriotism of the time.

Murtha was also probed by an FBI agent posing as a lawyer for a Arab Sheik, who reportedly offered Murtha 50,000 dollars for a visa. Murtha was investigated but never indicted.

As a senior member in charge of the  pentagon’s budget, Murtha brought in nearly 100,000 dollars in revenue for the state of Pennsylvania.

Whether being of accused of anti-patriotism by republicans or all out bribery/treason by the FBI, Murtha never faltered in his integrity and dedication to upholding the very values that America seemed to be avoiding during the Bush Administration….he will be missed but what he stood for will not be forgotten.

A Swedish rapper testified in a Los Angeles courtroom recently, claiming that the murder that he was accused of, was really an act of self-defense.

This goes entirely against eye-witness accounts, who say David “Moses” Jassy, in a fit of road rage, punched an elderly man in the head making him drop to the concrete,  kicked him in the head, and then finally got back in his car and ran the man over with his SUV,  all at a Hollywood cross walk.

Although the rapper claimed that he had been the “victim”, the way that he marketed himself on his MySpace and through his music, points to a more sinister man. Acting “hard” and describing death in his music as a means of being “manly” is something that the swedish rapper or any rapper for that matter nowadays, has no problem of addressing in their messages. 

This asks many to question, where the lines of entertainment and reality are drawn in our society? Has rap become too violent? It’s not like the first time rap has taken the label of being excessively violent, misogynistic, and culturally destructive. 

If convicted the rapper, who is also a father, faces life in prison without the possibility of parole….So much for the tough guy.

Sure, Taylor Swift is an excellent musician….well, maybe; however, whatever your opinion may be of the young ,20-year-old, starlet,  she took home 4 Grammys the other night leaving some to ponder the question, ” Where’s Kanye?”

Let’s not forget about Swifts last award show at the MTV VMAS where the country singer phenom was rudely interrupted by Mr. West(no respect intended) after receiving a VMA for best music video of the year.

The fact that there was only 1 hip hop act nominated for any Grammy whatsoever this year leaves many suspecting that perhaps hip hop has been put on a “time out” for bad behavior.

Regardless of reasoning, to say that the negative publicity surrounding Taylor Swift and Kanye West did not in some way sway judges decisions in supporting Ms. Swift, would be a slight understatement.

Sure, Swift is a talented musician who deserves every Grammy that she was nominated for and happened to win, but even young, talented, country singers, can use a little help from ignorant, egotistical, black men, who decide to flee to India.

It is unconscionable the way the Haiti government is treating its own people and even more despicable is the fact that the bodies of foreign country’s may have been summarily brought to landfills with the rubble.

The Haiti government dumping bodies into heaps of dead morbidity reminds one of atrocities Auschwitz during the reign of the Nazi’s. Not only did Nazi’s gas the Jewish people they were killed by starvation, disease and burning.

Many comparisons seem to cross your mind as you watch the daily coverage where you the viewer are watching an vision of a country disappearing and vanishing human bodies as if they were made of the concrete that crumbled in the earthquake. If it were not for the world sending aid there would be more deaths, However, the saved the wounded and those that lived through the disaster will die of hunger, infection and neglect.

Media coverage should reflect truth, but to see the the desensitization on such a major scale…points to a lack of human respect, and possible racial bias.

It seems as if the media cannot get over the fact that a man of African American descent is a star on the golf course as well as the sheets….so it seems. But honestly, is it a story worth covering for two months straight? Ever since the story first aired in late November, as a domestic dispute, between Tiger Woods and his wife Ellen, it seems that the media cannot leave him alone.

He has been the center of attention from tabloid magazines claiming that he had cheated on his wife with over 20 mistresses, to Saturday night live sketches, showing him as a passive egotist….can’t the brother get a break?

I mean how many other celebrities, or men of power, go out every night, cheat on their wives with different women, and go to work the next day like nothing happened?…..alot. So why is it that Tiger is getting crucified for doing it? Well, because he’s a  black athlete dominating a predominantly white game, with a white wife,  and he got caught cheating. That makes a much better story, than the average Joe Shmoe, who cheats on his wife.

Maybe Tiger should have taken advice from the last man of power to get caught with his pants down and said “I did not have sexual relations with that woman.” Or in Tiger’s case woman(s).

Recently, there has been uproar in the political community, about Senator Harry Reid’s insensitive comments regarding President Barack Obama’s ethnicity.

Republicans claim that prior to Obama’s inauguration, Reid had stated that Obama could be the first African-American President because he was “light-skinned” and did not talk with a “negroe dialect”.

Republicans are asking for Reid to step down and resign as Senator, claiming that his remarks were racist and hurtful.

True, Reid’s comments were insensitive and should have not been made by a man in such a position as the Senator of Nevada, but the fact that the G.O.P. brought it to the attention of the world nearly two years after the fact, shows the true nature of their attack on the democrats.

The WWF he said, she said, game, has always been used in the political arena, but to bring up an incident so long after it had occured, shows the strategy of the G.O.P., in how they truly want the democratic party to collapse from the top down.

If republicans would have made a big deal about this, when it had happened, prior to the Obama presidency, as opposed to now, when the president’s ratings have declined, only shows the true nature of republicans in how they enjoy “kicking a man(well, President), while he’s down”, and causing chaos in the democratic community is what republicans live for.
